Lovely sculpture from the Salon of 1910, by Charles Delanglade, (1870 - 1952) Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Marseille, member of the Academy of Marseilles, French sculptor.
We recently came across four wonderful images of Belle Epoque "Bacchantes" in sculpture, and will feature them in our shop this week. Though this one is not necessarily a bacchante per se, the title of the piece, Ver la Vie, meaning "To Life," and the over all feel of the thing, fit with the other three so well, we decided to include her with the three traditional maenads.
A lovely card in very nice, unposted condition. Please examine our high res scans for detail.
Postage is for first class shipping in a secure photo mailer, and we happily combine shipping on all paper goods. If you purchase two cards, we will refund the postage on the second card, and when you purchase three or more cards from us at the same time, your shipping will be entirely free, except for international orders which, because of sudden increases in international shipping rates will still be charged one card's shipping fees on orders of three or more.
