What great fun! We just came across these playing cards from the 1920s, sporting the images of popular silent film stars of the era. This one is of Vivian Martin (1893-1987), who debuted in film, in 1914. These were all from the "Ben Hur" deck, produced (we imagine) in 1925, when that blockbuster film starring Ramon Novarro was released. Notice that the back of this card is decorated with an image of the great chariot race!
We are going to price these cards at $7.00 dollars each, but if you would like to add all five to your collection, we will reserve the lot of five for you, at $24.00 dollars.
Please examine our high res scans for detail.
Postage is for first class shipping in a secure photo mailer, and we happily combine shipping on all paper goods. If you purchase two cards, we will refund the postage on the second card, and when you purchase three or more cards from us at the same time, your shipping will be entirely free, except for international orders which, because of sudden increases in international shipping rates will still be charged one card's shipping fees on orders of three or more.
