Leopold Reutlinger of Paris made this lovely portrait of Miss Olga Nethersole (1867-1951) An English stage actress of the Victorian, and Edwardian periods. Gorgeous dress and Belle Epoque choker. Miss Nethersole was a highly regarded actress who toured internationally, was arrested for public indecency following a performance of Clyde Fitch's Sapho, devoted much of her energy to nursing during WWI, and divided the remainder of her long public life between theater, and issues of public health.
