Douglas Fairbanks, 1883-1939, was a star of stars, actor, director, producer, founding member of United Artists, founding member and first president of the Motion Picture Academy, he and his wife Mary Pickford (America's Sweetheart), were the first to leave prints in the concrete out in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater.
