Superbly delicate coloration on this lovely card. It offers us an image of the popular Edwardian actress Miss Lily Brayton garbed in chain mail, who with her equally popular husband, Oscar Asche, performed "The Two Pins" in 1908 at the Aldwych Theater in London. The play was written and performed entirely in blank verse, or so writes the drama critic for the arts magazine Punch. He writes his article in blank verse too...funny :) He enjoyed the play very much (if you'd rather not read what he wrote) but if you'd rather read his response yourself, here's a link to the Google extract:
