Embroidered corset, striped woolen stockings, lacy under-drawers and lots of ribbons and bows. This is quite the image! I We believe what we have here is an image of a genuine fancy woman :) It appears to be an RPPC shot in a garden setting. Our fashion historians will love this one, but we'll file it under risque.
If you look closely, you'll see two rounded depressions at the top and bottom of the image. These were caused by the glue holding the photo in an album or on some other surface, probably shinkage of the glue of a century or so.
