Maud D'Orby, French Theatrical Performer, in Risque Jean Agelou Image. circa 1910s
Great image by Jean Agelou of Paris. What a costume! Mlle. D'Orby was a very famous dancer and soprano who graced the stages of Paris nightclubs like the Scala and the Moulin Rouge during la Belle Epoque. She also posed nude for photographer Jean Agélou in some very sought after series of images. A very nice, risque card from a much sought after series by Agelou. There is some visible damage to the print surface long the left edge, so priced accordingly.
