Caroline Otero, commonly known as La Belle Otero, was one of the most famous entertainers of late Belle Epoque Paris. She was also infamous as a consort over whom industrialists and royalty challenged one another to duels, showering her with diamonds and property making her a very wealthy woman at the height of her popularity. We're rather pleased with the bio of her we put together on our blog site. Please follow this link if you'd like to learn more about this fascinating dancer's life:

A very interesting, deeply embossed, mixed media postcard. Probably quite rare and in nearly perfect, unposted condition! The facial portrait of Otero was probably from a Leopold Reutlinger photo taken in Paris, and the card itself was likely printed in Germany for the British market. A lovely card. Please examine our high res scans for detail.
The item you are considering for purchase is, unless otherwise noted, a vintage postcard of approximately 5 and 1/2, by 3 and 1/2 inches.
