One of our favorite Saharet images by Georg Gerlach of Berlin.
Australian born Clarissa Campbell was a tremendously popular dancer in the 1890s and well into the 1910s.
We love Saharet, one of the most interesting looking dancers of the era, we think, and her history is such a lively one!

We are always on the lookout for nice images of Saharet. Her countless layers of ruffled skirt, her dark curls drawn up in her trademark chignon, framing her bright vivacious features, make her images some of the most enjoyable we run across. Yes, we are hopelessly fans :)
