Superb bit of Art Nouveau advertising for la Belle Jardiniere, a huge department store in Paris founded, we believe, in the first half of the 19th century. Alphonse Mucha produced some ad art for them, but although this is somewhat in that style, this is an unsigned work and we haven't discovered the artist's name. Was there ever a flower more suited to Art Nouveau illustration than the iris? You might say the mum, and yeah, I guess we'd be on the fence :)
Bend in lower corner, otherwise, wow! Lovely condition. Just a lovely card over all. Please examine our high res scans for detail.
