Risque, Semi-Nude Parisian Flapper. Vintage Postcard by A. Noyer, circa 1920
One out of a line of cards A. Noyer marketed as "Aurographies." We haven't found any specific information on Aurograghies. This appears to be something more along the lines of a photographic reproduction, like a lithograph or an offset press print. There was a vast array of photographic and photo printing processes developed (forgive the pun :) during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Sometimes we'll run across an old photography text at an estate sale that offers some information on them, but they are really difficult to trace. Both photographers and printers/publishers during the postcard's "Golden Age" were often inventors within their fields helping to advance the science and art of photography, but advances were (are still, of course) so rapid that many stepping stones along the way were quickly abandoned and forgotten.
Most of Noyer's Aurographies that we've seen were risque, or erotic images like this one, produced in subtle sepia tones. So evocative of the period and what a lovely model!
