Marguerite Brésil, one of the most beautiful actresses of the late Belle Epoque, was born in 1880. She made her first appearance on the stage of the Theatre Gymnase in Paris, in 1899, and within a few years was a tremendous star. Photo by Leopold Reutlinger of Paris, published by S.I.P., or Societe Industrielle de Photographie. To take in more of her and her beautifully embroidered costume, follow the link below to another card in our shop that features a different photo from the same set taken by Reutlinger.
