The Valkyrie Sisters, Marvelously costumed children, circa 1900
Although this appears to be an RPPC (Real Photo Post Card), and bears no studio or theatrical attribution, these kids really have the appearance of professionals. Frankly, if we were to guess, although the most obvious idea might be that they were bit players in one of the "Ring Cycle" operas, we think that the intensity of their expressions is very much like that of circus performers, and we wouldn't be at all surprised to discover that they were a part of a high wire act. Absolutely wonderful. Card has some pretty heavy creasing in both the upper right, and lower left corners, which our price will reflect.
