Magical image of actress Beauregard in one of those photo montage images for which Leopold Reutlinger was so famous. Is she the Snow Queen peering in the window at Kay, or the Sugar Plum Fairy? Likely we'll never know but like both fantastic tales, the creation of the magical is achieved through a careful mixture of dream, both sweet, and with also just a feather's touch of nightmare. Just a sprinkling of fairy dust (colored glitter) was scattered on this card. Lovely touch :)
Cannot make out the postmark on this one, but probably right around 1903.
Please examine our high res scans for detail.
