Wow! Remarkable card. Contrast, composition, subject, hair, facial expression, we could just go on and on! Seldom do we run across a "maillot-complète," body-stocking nude, that is so impressive.
Photograph by Prince. We've come across a few French postcard images signed Prince, most of them seemingly published in Paris, which makes us think this was a Parisian, or at least a French photographer, but outside of that, no information. Not to be confused with Louis Le Prince, one of many fathers of motion pictures, who disappeared mysteriously from a train at least a decade before this image was published.
KF publishers, were Kunzli Freres, or the Kunzli brothers, Carl and Max, two old Swiss gentlemen who were art publishers in Switzerland back in the 1870s, and entered the picture postcard business when they caught on. Very successful, they expanded their company, like many of the larger European houses, into other countries, KF being their French satellite.
Wonderful card, in wonderful condition.
